In this session we'll look at how to use Visual Studio 2015 to continuously improve the performance of your applications during normal development. You'll learn how to use the new capability of running diagnostic tools with the debugger and how to use the tools without the debugger to diagnose a broad range of performance issues.
This deep-dive session presents new advances in .NET for building applications. Learn how features such as cloud compilation, a new Just-In-Time compiler (JIT) and parallel processing enable you to build applications that are faster and consume less memory.
This was a fun one! I spent some time with Jimmy Bogard on his tremendously successful open source project called AutoMapper. If you have not heard of it then you have no doubt, like me, wasted precious keystrokes on manually converting from one object type to another by mapping properties in code. AutoMapper helps eliminate the need for that completely and goes a step further by even making queries to a database more compact and concise.
He also spends some time talking about what makes for great open source projects - oddly enough its not what I thought he would say.
