Application Insights delivers the holy grail of EASILY determining how customers are using your product, what their experience is, the environments your customers are using, and ensuring your applications are successful in meeting your business needs. This data is provided by the usage telemetry capabilities of Application Insights. In this session, discover how easy it is to add this to your existing applications through a simple “right click” option in Visual Studio. Demos include enabling usage telemetry with Application Insights from Windows Phone apps, Windows Store apps, Web applications, as well as custom logging, custom events, and dashboard creation.
This demo intensive session will focus on the use of Microsoft Azure services to host a back end system for real- time telemetry processing in a 3D racing game. The use of asynchronous queues, worker roles, storage services and websites will be explained. Techniques for real-time data stream processing, data archiving and report generation will be discussed and demonstrated. During the session attendees will have the option to play the game, and see the lap and telemetry data being processed in real time. The session will provide an insight into leveraging the power of cloud-based platforms for high scale telemetry data processing scenarios. The techniques demonstrated will be applicable to many scenarios, from multi-player gaming to device telemetry and the internet of things.
You already know the ingredients: Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V, Microsoft System Center, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Visual Studio. Now, using real-world customer examples and a comprehensive demo, learn how to weave these technologies together into a practical, end-to-end, turnkey solution. The demo shows you how enterprise IT can create a secure, multi-tenant, policy-driven cloud that spans from your datacenter into Azure. You also learn how application owners and developers can use this cloud to deploy, manage and seamlessly move .NET and Java applications between private and public resources (without code changes!) using a solution from Apprenda and Microsoft.
