Cloud, social and proliferation of devices have changed the way we work, collaborate and manage our tasks and projects. During this keynote Jared will talk about Microsoft's vision for business productivity & project management, share industry trends and provide insights into how Microsoft is thinking about future product investments. A career software professional, Jared’s experience includes roles in engineering, product management, product marketing, and sales. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in computer science from Brigham Young University.
In April at Build 2014, Microsoft unveiled universal Windows apps, a new approach that enables developers to maximize their ability to deliver outstanding application experiences across Windows PCs, laptops, tablets, and Windows Phones. This means it's now easier than ever to create apps that share most of their code. Code can be shared using the new shared app templates, as well as by creating Portable class libraries. This session will walk through the development of a shared app and will discuss where it still makes sense to implement platform specific features.
In this report, we shall consider a new component in Azure—Azure Resource Manager—which allows you to work with your application as a whole, rather than as a collection of disparate services and components. In addition, Azure Resource Manager allows tagging of resources and performs automatic application deployment in a development or test environment, as well as provides for dependency tracking for settings and resources in these environments.

Prior to his current leadership role, Ludovic was General Manager for the Microsoft Project Business Unit, where his responsibilities led him to run product development and head the strategic direction for the Project business. Ludovic has been involved with the Microsoft Project team since 1994 in various technical leadership roles for the Project and Project Server line of products. Ludovic holds a BS in CS from ESIGELEC, an Electrical Engineering school based in France.
